Geia sou (Hello)

I began Xenia by Design in January 2017, as a salute to my Greek heritage.  I grew up with a large Greek influence, including the presence of the evil eye. My father has had one for as long as I can remember, and it remained in the same place in my childhood home for all the years we lived there. It’s a symbol that holds a very special place in my heart, and led me to begin this exciting venture.

I've put together a currated collection of evil eye and Greek-style jewellery, homewares and accessories sourced from around the globe, with many items handmade in Greece by talented designers. Some items are even made by Xenia! I love the idea of layering necklaces and stacking bracelets, so I wanted to showcase an array of pieces that will allow you to have some fun doing so.

For me, the heart of my project, is my connection to Greece.  It's in my blood, and I feel very patriotic towards everything Greek – even though I've never lived there.  I grew up in South Africa, where there's a very large Greek community, then moved to New Zealand 21 years ago.
